“Two for Joy” - Magpie fine-art print
Two magpies is said to bring joy, a belief captured in the well-known rhyme: ‘One for sorrow, two for joy… ‘ Magpies symbolise partnership, resilience and the power of connection.
With their striking black-and-white plumage and shimmering blue-green iridescence, magpies are instantly recognisable. Male and female magpies look almost identical, both sharing the same bold markings and long, elegant tails, another reminder that strength and beauty exist equally in both.
Magpies are highly social and form deep bonds. Once they find a mate, their partnership lasts a lifetime with magpies living for up to 25-30 years. Known to grieve for their own kind, showing signs of mourning; a rare and touching glimpse into their emotional depth which is echoed in the title and sentiment of this piece.

Postage & packaging
Prints are carefully wrapped in acid-free paper and are posted flat or rolled in a tube. Postage is £25 to one UK address within 7-14 days via Royal Mail or you can collect free from my studio in Exeter, Devon. Please contact me if you need your order sooner and I’ll see what I can do!
Framing
I do not typically offer framed prints, as framing is a highly personal choice and it’s important to choose a frame that suits the style and colour of your decor.
For the finest presentation of your artwork, I highly recommend consulting your local professional framer.
However, if you prefer to frame prints yourself, my collectors have successfully framed this piece in 40x40cm frames with 30x30cm mount from Hobbycraft (available in a range of colours).
Returns policy
If you change your mind, please let me know within 14 days of receiving the item. You will then have another 14 days to send the item back and I’ll issue your refund within 14 days of receiving it (providing that that the item arrives in it's original condition and packaging). Buyers are responsible for return postage costs with adequate insurance.
If your item arrives faulty, you’re entitled to a refund, repair or replacement within 30 days. Please ensure you report any defects or damage to
