"The Fibonacci Sequence" - Original ammonite painting
The Fibonacci Sequence explores the golden ratio; a pattern found throughout nature and long regarded as a benchmark of balance and beauty. Set against a deep blue background, this statement piece combines texture with gold-toned gilding to highlight the timeless geometry of an ammonite.
Measuring 100cm square, this work makes a confident statement without dominating a space. It’s ideal for anyone drawn to the intersection of mathematics, nautical nature and design with natures most aesthetically pleasing shape in the form of the golden ratio. Mixed media: Modelling paste, acrylic & gold coloured gilding.

As with most of my work, each piece features my trademark textured gilding for a contemporary edge. Some areas have been deliberately left unsealed, allowing the gilding to gradually oxidize. Over the years, this will create a subtle patina, letting the artwork change and develop its own character with time.

This original artwork is titled and signed, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, guaranteeing that you own a truly unique piece of art.

The beautiful shift of gold
The gold tones in this artwork are not 24-carat and may evolve gracefully over time, developing soft shades of patina and aged gold. This transformation is intentional - a living element that allows the piece to grow and change with you.
Some surfaces are deliberately left unsealed to encourage this natural evolution. The resulting patina is a celebrated feature, making each artwork truly unique.
Postage & Packaging
This piece will be carefully & lovingly wrapped and secured in card before posting. Postage is via Royal Mail (unless specified otherwise), 2nd class (signed for), with adequate insurance. The cost of packaging and posting a piece this size is £100 which is added at the checkout stage. Alternatively, to avoid the packaging & postage costs, you can select 'Collection' at the checkout and you're welcome to collect your artwork, in person, from my studio in Exeter, Devon at a mutually convenient date and time. I do work occasional weekends and so this can be arranged in advance of purchasing if needs be - just drop me a line via phone or email to check.
Returns policy
If you change your mind, please let me know within 14 days of receiving the item. You will then have another 14 days to send the item back and I’ll issue your refund within 14 days of receiving it (providing that that the item arrives in it's original condition and packaging). Buyers are responsible for return postage costs with adequate insurance.
