For those wanting a direct connection and a visual reminder of Dartmoor, nothing is rooted in place more than the iconic brackens and ferns that form an intricate part of the landscape.
This print of a bracken leaf was taken in situe carries a precise grid reference, anchoring the artwork to its exact location in this incredible landscape.
The shimmering 24c gold leaf in this piece lends a luminous and ‘otherworldly’ quality, capturing the light and accentuating the natural textures and subtle tonal variations of the plant themselves.
In blending cartographic precision with artistic expression, this work celebrates Dartmoor’s unique wilderness and invites you to connect more intimately with its geography, history and spirit.
