“Bonehill Bracken, Dartmoor” 24 carat gold art
This piece is available to view and purchase from Sextons Gallery, Widecombe in the Moor, Dartmoor, or sign-up to a ‘back in stock’ request.
Infused with the spirit of Dartmoor, “Bonehill, Bracken, Dartmoor” captures the wild, untamed beauty of this extraordinary landscape with the very foliage that it so indicative of the moor: Featuring a bracken frond carefully gathered from Bonehill on Dartmoor, then transformed into an exquisite gilded print, hand-finished with 24 carat gold. The delicate bracken, which captures the light, takes on an almost otherworldly presence, echoing the ethereal quality of Dartmoor.
Set against a contemporary grey-green backdrop that mimics the colours of the bracken and landscape, this artwork balances modern design with a deep, timeless connection to nature and specifically, Dartmoor. The rich, luminous gold catches the light beautifully, bringing a subtle elegance that makes it perfect for contemporary interiors or those with accents of gold.
This piece offers a tangible and meaningful link to Dartmoor itself. For anyone who holds a love of, or connection with, this stunning part of the world, this artwork has a heartfelt connection to place.

Commission your own piece of Dartmoor…
I also take bespoke commissions for these unique gilded pieces. If you’d like a fern or bracken print taken from a specific spot on Dartmoor that holds personal significance to you, I’d be honoured to create it. These personalised commissions are available during the bracken’s peak season, in late June to August, when the foliage is at its largest and most vibrant. Prices dependent on size and framing/materials but are similar to those on my gallery page, but can be tailed to incorporate a colour scheme or be completed in gold, silver or copper depending on your preference. Commission spaces book-up well in advance and so please do get in contact ASAP if you are considering a commission.
