"Bottom's Up" Wren on blue and 24 carat gold

£225.00Price

Piece title: "Bottom’s Up" original wren artwork.

At dawn, before the rest of the world has fully woken, the wren is already up, singing with everything it has. This painting captures the wren as I see it…bold & full of life.

Wrens seem to lack an ‘off’ button! They are always on the move, bubbly, inquisitive and full of energy, always busy and determined. But what the wren lacks in stature, it more than makes up for with its voice; a voice so loud and full of character that it demands to be heard.

I adore the fact that male and female wrens are almost identical, another reminder that strength and impact aren’t defined by appearance or gender. And then there’s their distinctive silhouette, the way they hold their tails high as if brimming with confidence.

That jaunty posture is exactly why this piece is called “Bottom’s Up”…a playful nod to how these fun, spirited little birds hold their tails high, full of cheek and pride. The wren is a symbol of resilience, creativity and persistence, and though small, it carries a voice that’s loud and can’t be ignored…that’s something to be celebrated!
